Scheduled for Surgery

Where will my surgery be performed?

Same day surgeries are done in-house at our Surgery Center, which is in our Lawrenceville location. Surgeries that require an overnight stay are performed in the hospital. If you are medically fragile (for example, if you have diabetes or brittle bones) your surgery will also be done in the hospital. Click here for information on how to reach the Mercer County Surgery Center staff.

Review and update your medication list

Make sure you review and update your medications list prior to your surgery. We recommend that you put all your medications on an index card, which you can keep in your wallet or on your person. Bring this with you to your surgery.

Obtain your medical clearance right away

Some surgeries will require a written medical clearance from your doctor. Once your surgery date is set, make appointments with the appropriate physicians to obtain your medical clearance right away! If your medical clearance is not obtained in time, your surgery could be delayed.

Read the Pre-Operative Protocol

Please read and sign the pre-operative protocol that will be given to you in advance of your surgery. This document will also tell you the do's and don'ts of preparing for surgery.

Prepare the following items and bring them with you to the hospital:

Get a good night's sleep and just relax!

The night before surgery, get a good night's sleep and just relax. Our surgeons are some of the top doctors in their field and have successfully treated thousands of patients. You are in good hands!
