Mercer-Bucks Orthopedics primarily offers X-ray imaging, which uses a small dose of radiation to produce clear images of bones and joints. X-rays are quick, painless, and require minimal preparation, typically taking less than 30 minutes per session.

X-rays allow orthopaedic providers to diagnose a variety of conditions, including:

• Joint dislocations

Your imaging appointment is performed in a comfortable, welcoming setting. A trained X-ray technician will guide you through the process, which usually includes:

• Removing jewelry or metal objects and changing into a gown if needed
• Sitting, standing, or lying in the correct position for the X-ray
• Holding still while the machine captures images of the affected area
